During the whole production season growers that are member of GAWI regularly receive warning bulletins (February to October). These warnings touch upon all techniques necessary for the production of high quality fruit (pest control, protection against diseases, fertilisation, pollination, thinning, harvest, à) and in this way allow the growers to properly control the orchards and to opt for a better technique in function of the actual situation.
The "important" warnings usually precede the advisers visit to the orchard.

These warnings have been distributed for 10 years now by a videotext network called "FRUITEL", which allowed growers to stay in touch permanently with the advisory service. From the season 2000 onwards, modernity obliges, these warnings will be distributed by the Internet or fax.
